Partnership provides members with online shift scheduling and staffing

Despite supplemental staffing services, recruitment and retention issues continue to be challenges at health care organizations. Therefore, Georgia Medical Resource Pool is excited to continue the partnership with Concerro Inc. to provide members with an online shift scheduling and staffing effectiveness software product. Unlike legacy vendors, Concerro offers the only scheduling and shift management system that improves both quality of life and your bottom line. Their services increase manager and staff satisfaction while effectively managing labor costs (typically 49% of hospital total labor expenditure) through optimization rather than reduction. GMRP is focused on helping its clients reduce open staffing positions in the most economical way possible and has emerged as a total human resource solutions provider that offers more than just supplemental staffing.

In addition to GMRP’s wrap-around services, Concerro’s product will help expand health systems’ ability to provide nurses and other staff with flexible work options across the enterprise. Their innovative software provides a web-based solution for filling open shifts, automating and transforming what traditionally has been a time and labor intensive manual process.

Benefits to Concerro clients have included the ability to:
  • Reduce labor expense including premium shifts, costly incentives and reduction of agency/traveler utilization
  • Reduce the administrative burden of health care managers
  • Improve the management of PRN/float pools
  • Improve employee and patient satisfaction
  • Create an empowered practice environment, often on the road to Magnet designation
  • Attract and retain tech-savvy healthcare professionals
  • Optimize the use of internal staff
  • Align a variety of incentives and equalize the opportunity for staff to work “extra shifts”

Concerro products can be sold as part of GMRP’s total solution or may be purchased a la carte at VHA Georgia’s negotiated discounted rate. Concerro is sold on a subscription basis, with no upfront capital required. The system is normally deployed in roughly six weeks as an Internet service (ASP) – so there is no hardware or software to purchase, install or maintain.
